1. Who we are
Notes & Scents is operated by LAMANDIER LLC, a New York limited liability company. We are responsible for the personal information collected on notes-scents.com. Contact: hello@notes-scents.com.
2. Information we collect
- Identity and contact: name, email address, phone number.
- Orders: delivery and billing addresses, products purchased, order history, claims and returns.
- Payment: processed by Shopify Payments. We never see or store your full card number.
- Communications: emails and messages you send us, including photos submitted with a claim.
- Browsing: pages viewed, products added to cart, device and browser type, approximate location and IP address, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
3. How we use it
- to process, ship and track your orders,
- to handle returns, claims and customer service,
- to detect and prevent fraud and abuse, including fraudulent claims,
- to send our newsletter and offers, when you have subscribed,
- to measure our site's performance and show you relevant ads on other platforms,
- to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with providers who help us run the store:

Using Meta and Google for advertising may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under some state privacy laws. You can opt out at any time (section 6).
5. Emails
You receive marketing emails only if you subscribe. Every email contains an unsubscribe link. Order and shipping emails are sent even if you unsubscribe from marketing.
6. Your privacy rights
Depending on your state of residence, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and other states with privacy laws, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy,
- correct inaccurate information,
- delete your information, subject to legal exceptions,
- opt out of the sharing of your information for targeted advertising,
- not be treated differently for exercising these rights.
To opt out of targeted advertising, use the cookie preferences link at the bottom of our site. We also honor Global Privacy Control signals sent by your browser. For any other request, email hello@notes-scents.com. We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies for the cart and checkout, and analytics and advertising cookies from Shopify, Meta and Google. You can accept or refuse non-essential cookies through our cookie banner and change your choice at any time.
8. How long we keep it
We keep order and payment records for 7 years to meet tax obligations. Claim records are kept for the same period to prevent repeated fraud. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
9. Security
Payments run on Shopify's PCI DSS compliant infrastructure. Access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to serve you.
10. Children
Our store is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the latest version.
